Allocation of Business

Scope of work:

The Health Engineering Department (HED) is entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the construction, upgrading, expansion, repair and renovation works of all health and family planning infrastructure/facilities from ward level to district level up to 100 beds. In addition, the construction, upgrading, expansion, repair and renovation works of district hospitals, national level hospitals, specialized hospitals, medical colleges and hospitals are also implemented by HED on the instructions of the Ministry.


Division-wise work distribution:

According to the scope of work of HED, construction, repair and renovation of community clinics at ward level, construction, upgrading, repair and renovation of union health and family welfare centers at union level, construction of new 31/50-bed Upazila Health Complexes at upazila level, upgrading of existing Upazila Health Complexes from 31 beds to 50 beds, construction of new 10-bed Mother and Child Welfare Centers, construction of district/upazila stores, construction of MATS, FWVTI, IHT, Nursing Institute, Nursing College, Diabetic Hospital, Children's Hospital etc., and other works as directed by the Ministry are entrusted to the Health Engineering Department (HED).
